Week 10

Focused on writing the dissertation. Didn't do any development work this week. Completed the chapter on Implementation and requested a review from Julian.

Messed around with the memoir class to improve the report's aesthetics. I really wanted the section numbers to appear in the margin space, outside the area for the main content. It looks beautiful. memoir also has many built in styles for chapter titles, verville looks amazing! The package's documentation is very well written.

Decided to emit WebAssembly Text directly as an alternative compiler backend to the existing Binaryen. This will help me comment on Binaryen concretely. Thought a lot about QBE, but there is not enough time for me to do something meaningful with it. Plus, comparing native assembly with WebAssembly has a bigger scope that doesn't fit into my project timeline.

Played an Escape room game with Laura, Helen, Wendy and Kevin. We got on the leaderboard with a time of 43 minutes. Laura hosted us for dinner where she made Jerk Chicken - it was amazing - especially when paired with the rice with beans. We played Zombicide with David.

Wendy gave me Ginger Tea which is very tasty.
